Seniors
It’s time to make the big decision! Compare college acceptances, looking closely at the actual cost out of pocket. Choose a college and contact admission to accept their offer. (Suggested Class)
Juniors
Register and take the SAT or ACT. Arrange college visits for spring. Tests and visits during spring of junior year are important steps toward getting into a perfect-fit college. (Suggested Class)
Sophomores
Identify 2-3 colleges where you are likely to apply. Check the website for each college and see if they require AP or SAT 2 tests. If you know your child can pass the test, register to take tests that are required. (Suggested Class)
Freshmen
Complete your transcript for freshman year now. Plan classes for next year, making sure to start classes that are required for college admission. (Suggested Class)
Middle School
Make a decision not to panic. Instead, spend some time in “continuing education” learning about how to homeschool high school. (Suggested DVD)

Homeschooling is NOT the same as doing schoolwork at home. There is LOTS of freedom! My Gold Care Club will give you all the help you need to succeed!

Dear Lee,
I am confused about the purpose of writing course descriptions. Are they sent to colleges along with transcripts, or are they there for our own benefit in setting goals for our students? Maybe both?

Dear Donna,
Course descriptions allow colleges to know more about our “school” and the classes that the college applicant has taken. Many/most colleges will ask for course descriptions, and they can increase the chance of admission and scholarships. Here is a free class about course descriptions: Webinar – Homeschool Records that Open Doors! http://www.thehomescholar.com/homeschool-records-webinar.php
