When you say he had a year of homeschooling college with CLEP, do you mean he spent one year preparing for "X number" of CLEP exams as his first year of college? He earned 45 credits doing this? Wow! My son wants to CLEP, but we will see how many he wants/is able to do. What is the best CLEP prep? OK. So he started the university as a junior. Because the boys were given the full tuition scholarships, they had the freedom to take longer in the university level. Both boys are earning a double major, and both are also hoping to get a minor as well, and it's taken them 4 years. I hope that explains it a little. Every family is unique.
