This time of year always brings about the feelings of awe and thankfulness for the freedoms that we hold dear in this country. Franklin D. Roosevelt listed these Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech and Expression, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear .
Homeschool families know these freedoms very well. We express our freedoms by exerting our right to home educate our children. Just finished your webinar “Celebrate Homeschool Freedom.” You asked for us to fill out a survey at the end, but the webinar ended abruptly. So, I don’t know how to find the survey. At any rate, the webinar was very helpful to me. Your seminars at the OCEAN Network conference were also very encouraging. We’re homeschooling our daughters next year, though they’ve been in public and private schools. Though we’ve home schooled our little boys, it’s quite a change to home educate our 8th grade and High School Senior daughters.
I especially appreciated your recommendation regarding Pre Algebra in High School. My daughter took it her freshman year, but the private school teacher told me it could NOT be counted as a high school math credit. She told me our daughter would need to take 2 maths this year to make up for that. It is very liberating to realize our daughter does not HAVE to do that, since it would be extraordinarily difficult for her. Thank you so much for the information! God bless!
