“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
Proverbs 16:3
That’s quite a promise there! I love how the Bible says your PLANS will succeed. He doesn’t promise your CURRICULUM will succeed. Chances are there will be some curriculum choices along the way that won’t work. The good news is that your plans will succeed when you commit what you do to the Lord. “Here God, this is for you. You carry the burden.”
Commit your curriculum to the Lord. Your curriculum choices may not succeed, but your ultimate plan of educating your children WILL.

I recently had a curriculum “failure” with a hand-me-down from Big Sister. After about 3 months, it was obvious the hand-me-down wasn’t a good fit for Little Sister. I sold all the hand-me-down materials and used the money to purchase an entirely different curriculum for Little Sister. We haven’t started yet, and it’s a scary feeling. I’m comfortable and familiar with Big Sister’s curriculum. Sometimes, though, the Lord wants us uncomfortable so that we are relying on Him and Him alone. Hitting a brick wall is actually part of what God is doing. Going around, under, over, or away from the wall is part of the journey.
