Dear Vida,
That sounds like a difficult situation! For beginners I usually recommend Sonlight Curriculum. Here is a link:

I have 5 children. I am having so much trouble with the middle child, a 16 yr old boy, that I have decided to withdraw him from school and homeschool him. He is going to school and not learning anything due to social issues. We also have serious issues with trust and therefore can't allow him to use the internet. I am left to my own devices to create a program for him to get him through his remaining 3 yrs of high school successfully. I would appreciate any information that will help me to do that.

I feel like I failed my oldest two sons, now 21 and 23. I homeschooled them, but did not know how to make a transcript or get them ready for college. They are now working at low-paying jobs and are trying to put themselves through community college. I have three more children and don't want to make the same mistakes with them. I'm hoping this book will help me.

My son Nigel read through two plays outloud with me last spring while we were holed up inside our home staying warm against the blasts of a mountain winter. No stage lights held him in a bright glow and no vast audience applauded his words as he made "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Our Town" very real. I was stunned at his gift. In the summer my husband and I sent Nigel to a summer drama camp and he won the director's award for best actor. He is the first homeschooled candidate ever from our county nominated for the Georgia Governor's Honor's Program tryouts in January. Pouring over scripts makes me think of how important a good transcript is to Nigel's future and what a boost your transcript prep material would be to helping my sixteen year old son achieve his dreams in the performing arts.

Hi Lee,
For us a transcript would give David (and my other up and comers) the organized summary of all the hard work he has put into his education. He doesn't know what he wants to be, but a video game tester and game creator have come up as possibles. I think he will lean more towards the sciences and he will need a great transcript to get into a good school. I have your transcript book on my Blackberry so I can read it wherever I am. You have been such a help to me and I know that you will continue to be a huge help as we go down this long tunnel called high school homeschooling.

Over the last 15 years of raising 4 children many questions, struggles, and opportunities have been experienced. Through the bumps, mountains, and blessings of life, God has always been faithful. As my older children have been considering and praying about college and God's will for their lives the financial question arises. As hardworking and devoted parents we strive to provide the absolute best for our kids. We believe that "Creating an Amazing Transcript" would be a huge answer to our prayers and a springboard to help our children succeed and achieve their dreams. The desire of our oldest daughter is to be an Orthopedic surgeon. We have painstakingly endeavored to instill a spirit of hard work, motivation to excel, and most importantly, a sincere passion to wholeheartedly serve God.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Binz:

My desire is to have a career that not only meets my needs, but also the needs of others. Because my future success is based on my education, attending college is important to me. I feel that God is calling me to make a difference by pursuing my dream of becoming a pediatrician. A well-written transcript will be a determining factor of whether or not I can achieve my goal. This being the first time that my mom has ever sent a child to college, I am sure this tool would be just what she needs to make what may seem like a daunting task a positive experience. (I would like to give her this for Christmas.)

Morgan (submitted through my mother’s e-mail with my dad's help)

When my son was 9, he listened in rapt fascination to the Justice Alito confirmation hearings on NPR and a dream was born. Over the last five years Benjamin has put a lot of work into achieving his dream of becoming a Chief Justice. He has independently pursued a classic education. He found an attorney to mentor him in Constitutional Law, joined Verve Homeschool Debate and interviewed a lawyer from his dream school, Stanford. A superior homeschool education will not gain admittance to a top-tier school without an amazing transcript. Winning guidance in building an outstanding transcript will ensure that he can obtain the best education available and help him achieve his Supreme Court dream.

I am currently a Canadian living in China homeschooling 8 of my 10 kids. I have 3 children in Highschool and 5 in Elementary. Your transcript solution would help my 3 oldest immediately to fulfill their dreams of college by providing a simple transcript solution and my 5 youngest within the next 4 to five years. I have 2 grandchildren also, so that would be 10 children one free program could really benefit. We also have a large Homeschool Group here and I would love to continue to advertise to them your blogs, facebook and websites! I have shared your site already with many moms here that do not have the Resources or advantages of living in their Home Country to encourage them along the way of Homeschooling Highschoolers in a foreign country. Thank you for all the encouragement you have already been to my family way over here in Kunming, Yunnan, China!!! I read all your emails with thankfulness.
