Happy Mother’s Day!
Matt here, guest posting. Lee’s feeling a little blue today. Her big plans for Mother’s Day kind of fell apart because of strep throat. Strep throat she contracted while caring for our youngest’s strep throat. Ironic that on Mother’s Day, she has this persistent reminder that she is a great mom!
Anyway, I know she would appreciate some encouragement from other moms. Let her know about your Mother’s Day plans. She’ll have to do a bit of vicarious celebrating with you!

Our Mother’s day plans were for the entire family to see StarTrek at an IMAX theater for FREE…. but then two children got callbacks for auditions at the same time…. so we were down to 4 for the movies (minus mom and 2 dds). Then youngest dd got sick so Mom is brining only one dd to callbacks and Dad is staying home with sick child… so only 3 children are going to the free movie.

Big Sis down with a cold. Me with an intermittent sore throat and general “blah” feeling, hoping I’m not coming down with something. Went geocache-ing for the first time today. Little Sis liked that. There are a BUNCH in our neighborhood!

Celebrated last night…went to Bull Riding and Barrel Racing…not part of our upbringing but a “cultural field trip”. Today dh had to study…kids played with friends and I read a bit and played my dulcimer…while swinging on the front porch and watching two chickadees go in and out of the birdhouse on our front porch.
