Quick and Easy Transcripts!

July 9, 2008

I hate business bookkeeping!  I put it off and put it off, but I just can’t make it go away!  Transcripts are a pain too, but there is a less painful way to do the frustrating work yourself.

In 1-2 hours I can help you figure out exactly what to write on your transcript.  We can do it easily on the phone.  All it takes is your brain, my brain, and any records or used curriculum you have lying around the house.  It’s just $120 for the telephone consultation and a Word template for you to use.  Because it’s just a telephone call, it’s usually easy to squeeze it into my schedule, even when I’m extraordinarily busy.

I can make the transcript FOR you, but that involves additional work (for me) to type up all the information, double check spelling, facts, details and formatting. To make the transcript for you costs $150 for the first year of high school and $100 for each additional year of high school.  Because I have to set aside two days for the project, scheduling can sometimes be a bit of a challenge.

Either way, you don’t have to stress. We CAN get this all figured out in a quick and painless way!  Here is a description of this service from my website.

Just a helpful suggestion, you may want to offer the “middle of the road”. Do the $120 version and let the parent email you a rough draft for you to check it over.

    Hi Siri,

I’m always willing to provide support and encouragement, whether it’s about transcripts or anything else. My consulting fee is $50 per hour, and I can certainly help with transcripts – that’s one of the things I do frequently, especially this time of year.

I’ll consider having that as one of my transcript services on the website. I’m always concerned that I don’t make things look too complicated, though. I wonder if others would find three options too complicated or not. Any opinions from anyone?

I do want to encourage parents to make their own transcript, because I think it encourages people to feel confident. I think this is one way that I can encourage independence – and I’ll be glad to consult with anyone who wants me to look over their transcript! I’ll need to think about having it listed as an option, though. I’d love to get some more feedback on the idea.

    Blessings,
    Lee
