Register Now for SAT or ACT

November 13, 2012

If your homeschool student is a junior, now’s the time to register them to take either the SAT or ACT!

It’s important to take these tests in the early spring of junior year, so that if your student needs to take them again, they can still do so later in May.  Don’t know which test your child should take?  Statistically, one-third of students will do better on one test and one-third will do better on the other, and it’s not always the test you think is the best!  Try a sample of both tests at home first, without pressure, and see which test makes your child look like a genius.  Then decide which test to take for college admission.

You can find a sample tests online.

Sample tests are also available at most local libraries, and you can check out SAT and ACT preparation books there too. Once you have decided which test makes your child look like a genius, have them study for that particular test.

Registration for each test can be done online.  The SAT registration can be found at www.Collegeboard.org and the ACT registration can be found at www.act.org.

Whether you have questions about delight directed learning, honors courses, CLEP, or the ACT, I am here to help.  My Parent Training A la Carte courses will help you become fully prepared for your next step in homeschooling.
