Here is a very interesting segment on homeschooling from Charles Osgood’s Sunday Morning program. On the plus side are some very eloquent homeschool parents and impressive students. On the negative is a professor from John Hopkins who will say some things that will make blood come spurting out of your eyes. All and all, a pretty balanced piece, even though you will have to endure another round of the “socialization” question.
In this story you will see a homeschool that is working well. I always say, “If it works, keep doing it.” I was disappointed to see she was making a change, but she does describe homeschooling very well.
Enjoy!

Yeah, we all fly off to foreign countries every month and run multimillion dollar companies. LOL! Is that really the measure of homeschool success, though? Hmmmm!
Out of the mouth of my homeschooled, “unsocialized” daughter:
“I am so extraverted it’s very hard to keep track of my friends because I have so many.”
And may I add that the vast majority of those friends are not her age mates, either.
