The Downside of Wide Screen TVs

June 23, 2008

When parents are REALLY anxious about high school, my favorite thing to do is get together.  It takes about three hours talking them “down from the ledge” and explain all the high school issues in one fun coffee klatch.  When I started getting calls from around the country, I took a huge step of faith, and recorded myself giving my 3 hour presentation.  That’s how we ended up with the DVD “Preparing to Homeschool High School.”  It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there like that – especially in the era of wide screen TVs!

So if you are feeling nervous about starting high school, I really do think my DVD is a good starting place.  People tell me they feel empowered and confident after watching it!  Lots of people who live outside of the Seattle area will buy and watch the video first, and then we’ll get together for a one hour telephone consultation.  That way they can get all the information they need quickly by video, and take notes.  Then afterward, our question and answer time will help them with their unique homeschool situation.  If you don’t know where to start, or you live far away, or you just can’t wait for an appointment, consider getting the DVD.  It’s the next best thing to being there.

Deann writes about “Preparing to Homeschool High School”: “This is fantastic! I feel as though I was able to sit across the table from a close friend and mentor as she guided me through the process of homeschooling high school! I absolutely LOVED the fact that what you offered where PRINCIPLES that could be applied no matter what “style” of homeschooling one chooses.”
