There is a great Yahoo group -- ScoutSchool -- that discusses integrating Scouting into school. It's amazing how quickly the credit hours add up with the different merit badge opportunities. Our almost-17 year old just had his ECOH, and the 15 year old is not too far behind. We were shocked at the myriad of scholarships available through NESA.

They're (slowly) working on their Congressional Awards, and also keeping track of community service through the President's Volunteer Service Award site (http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/). It's nice to have someone do the tracking for you!

I never thought about giving my son PE credit for his Scouting adventures. He is currently working on his Eagle at 15yo. He volunteers with the Cub Scout Troop and works at camp every year. He has a passion for scouting and encourages others to participate. Thank you for sharing this information.
