Do you worry about messing up your child’s life because of homeschooling? Don’t! Homeschooling won’t ruin them forever, or force them to fail if they are meant for greatness.
Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
The Lord created your child for your family, and before this child was even born, their entire life span was written in the Lord’s book. Nothing you can do will change that plan. We don’t control the Lord’s hand! All of the days for your child are ordained – already. You simply can’t do anything – even homeschool high school – that will change those plans. So rest easy. God is in control, not us. Whew! That’s a relief!

I am **always** thankful that I’m not doing this by myself! I used to think that hsing was about my kids, but after 8 years, I’m finally beginning to see that it’s part of the Lord’s plan to stretch me and grow me too.

The people who pronounce doom on your childrens’ future will still be naysaying when your successful adult children are homeschooling your grandchildren. Don’t listen to them. Listen to God.

I read your blogs every time I see a new one! This one (You Can’t Mess Up Your Child’s Life by Homeschooling!) was so valuable that I printed it and put it on the bulletin board above the desk where I plan our school weeks. Thank you for your Biblical and most encouraging remarks!

Thanks so much Lee for the beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness to our children and to us! Our son is in his junior year and it’s time to look at colleges and think more seriously about the future. It’s so good to know that God has a plan for Him.
