What a great contest. I would love to win this. Lee, you know our story, so won’t go into detail, but I have not done Bessie’s transcipt yet! Yikes! Having your book would sure help.
    Thanks!

  2. Kathy Kerber says:

With the right transcript, my now 14yr old son is more likely to get a scholarship to a trade school, so that he can pursue a career in diesel mechanics without worrying about education costs. I’ve subscribed to and followed the blog for two years now, and plan to work with Lee already, but winning the contest would be a huge blessing! I include classical education, as well as teaching eclectically, and though Test scores are great, I need help forming all of what I am doing into a great sounding transcript. Thank you!

  3. J W says:

An amazing transcript reflects the dedication, hard work, and unique abilities of my child. It shows colleges she has been focused on preparing for the demands she will have to meet in order to obtain her degree. An amazing transcript will also reflect the gifts, talents, and well-rounded personality she will bring to the college community. If the transcript shows she has been focused on preparing for a particular major, colleges will welcome her with open arms and perhaps a scholarship or two. Obtaining a college degree more often than not opens doors for a satisfying, meaningful career after graduation, and it all begins with one amazing transcript.

  4. Theresa Wagar says:

My 15 year old’s dream is to eat at a college cafeteria buffets while studying for engineering. Since he desires to be an engineer and not a writer, any help with his transcript will go a long way in getting into college. This will fulfill the first dream and take him a long way toward getting the second. Since he eats non-stop, Mom and Dad are also dreaming of the time when he eats at the college cafeteria. Mom and Dad have also noticed that PAYING for college food is not cheap Having a great transcript will go a long way in procuring academic scholarships and thus help our son’s dream of college cafeteria food a reality while allowing Mom and Dad enough financial leftovers to continue eating, too.

  5. Barbara says:

Creating an amazing transcript will catch the eye of a particular college that the child is dreaming of attending. Creating an amazing transcript will give that child a step in the right direction of realizing their purpose in life. Creating an amazing transcript documents the achievements of that child and encourages them to dream big for their future.
Wow – thanks for having us do this. By putting words down, I realized that a transcript isn’t just a piece of paper documenting courses but can be an affirmation of the child’s accomplishments and declaration of their life’s purpose to a college.

  6. Connie says:

This is a totally new process to me. I pulled my children out of public school mid last year. This will be our first full year of homeschooling. My children are young and want to make sure I give them what they need to succeed in life! My 8 year old wants to be a doctor or a zoologist! I think her transcripts would be extremely important for her to achieve this goal! My 6 year old is learning disabled and we are working through all that. He seems to be extremely artistically talented – I want to make all his dreams come true. My 4 year old is extremely bright and already has an eye for fashion. I can see her being a clothing designer or something along those lines.

I sometimes feel alone and lost in my quest, with help from you and a few others, I am finding my way. It is definitely a battle I want and seek daily to find all the answers.

You are a blessing and using your talents. You help me help my children – Thank You!

  7. Julie A Martinoli says:

A few years ago, when my son Nick was 10, I realized that our homeschool was beginning to look a lot like a boring public school classroom. As a homeschool mom, I naturally want the best for my kids and decided to try to teach to their passions. For Nick, that meant hunting, fishing and flying.
His dream is to work for the Fish and Game Department in Alaska. He would like to be a game warden in the remote area’s that can only be reached by plane.
Nick is now almost 15 and in the ninth grade. He will have enough flying hours by the time he is 16 to be able to fly solo and by the time he is 17 to get his pilot’s license.
Never having gone to college myself, I am challenged to even know where to begin.
I currently keep his school work using the binder method.
I’m convinced that by creating an amazing transcript I will be able to help Nick achieve his dreams.
    Sincerely,
    Julie Martinoli

  8. Lisa DeBellevue says:

My son wants to major in biology and teach at the university level. He has already passed the biology CLEP test (at 14). He realizes the challenges of teaching biology with a Christian worldview in the evolution-minded university system. He wants to be able to expose the weaknesses of evolution theory. He has the ability to go to an top tier school and an impressive transcript would make him stand out from among the public schooled kids. Getting good scholarships is important to us since we already have two in college as well as a younger child who will eventually go too. Thanks,
    Lisa

  9. Jennifer Grant says:

My son Sam’s dream is to be the next Alfred Hitchcock. No, he doesn’t want to be the bald, rather round fellow Hitch was during his lifetime. Sam wants to be a director. At age 13 my son’s not only filming everything that moves, he’s looking at film schools – ones which expect the applicants to not only be creative, but have stellar transcripts. Simply put, I am scared out of my mind (even more than I was when I saw Hitchcock’s ‘Psycho’). How do I create transcripts that sing my son’s praises, yet display all the hard work? That’s where you come in, Lee. Think of it as saving my sanity, so I don’t run away screaming (until I see one of my son’s movies on the big screen).
    Peace.

  10. Gina Jolley says:

We have three children (16,12,4). They want to be a writer/communications expert, a pilot and a vetrinarian. Having the ability to impress a person before they even meet you is a great advantage to you. I would love for my children to have that ability. They have high goals and big hearts. Their dreams are to do something to improve a small area of the world. They love people and have seen the hard times. They would like to try and bring back the good. I think that those who have a better education have more means to give back to the community while still being able to provide for themselves.
I will admit that this is a little overwhelming to me because this is only my second year of homeschooling.

Any help would be great for us. Thank you.

  11. Libby Caviness says:

Wow, where do I begin? This is my first year of homeschooling, both for my youngest who is 10 and my 16 year old in high school. To say the least, without a support group this would have been really hard. I have learned from my friends about alot of things, but the transcript portion for my high schooler is something we really need help with, and right now!!. In less than two short years, we will be on the road to college, and our family will definately need a scholarship or two to help us with the cost. My son wants to be an engineer, and I am clueless as to where to get started. Thanks! Libby

  12. Dawn says:

Your timing is perfect. December is college application month, and all I have is a list of classes! I have an AMAZING daughter completely pure of heart. The right transcript will showcase her accomplishments and make her stand out in a way that speaks to admissions officers. An AMAZING transcript will give HER the confidence, at 15, to seek admission and scholarships to strong elementary/special education degree and certification programs without feeling boastful.
My 12 year old started tackling high school credits this year and aspires to attend MIT. With access to the HomeScholar Total Transcript Solution, I’m hopeful that both children will realize their dreams! Thanks for the opportunity.

  13. Natalie Roberts says:

I am a homeschooling mom of seven. As you can imagine the perfect transcript will help us in so many ways. My 16 just turned his life around at Teen Challenge and now wants to go to school to learn how to open his own Teen Challenge in Guatamala. I have two kids who are going to be doctors. Between the other four I have everything from architect and engineer to a few undecided’s, but I guess that is allowed from an 8 and 10 year old. It is our challenge and pleasure to stretch and mold them to find what they are called to be. Any help along the way is greatly appreciated!!!

  14. Sarah Strain says:

It is because my son has not yet discovered his dream that creating an amazing transcript is so very important! An amazing transcript, showcasing who he is and all the hard work he is putting into learning and growing and becoming the wonderful young man that he is, will help open any door he chooses to walk through when his goals solidify. Although I do well at maintaining basic records, translating that into something that could showcase who he is and what he is capable of is beyond my ability. With the help of Lee’s Total Transcript Solution, he won’t be hindered by my lack of transcription skills. He is an amazing young man and I want him to have an amazing transcript!

  15. Bertie Goodfellow says:

My oldest of 3 would love to go to the college of her dreams with her well made homeschool transcripts to help her dreams come true. She is 17 yrs. old and we desperately need to get your transcript package and get going on full filling her dreams and my families. We’re praying super hard that she will be able to go to the college of her choice and be able to swim at an University. My daughter and I were blessed to meet with you recently and are working hard on her plan for the next year and half. Now we just need to get her transcripts together to help our family financially for her dreams to be possible.

Thanks and God bless you for doing such an amazingly sweet thing for a much deserved homeschool family.

  16. Eileen Straley says:

An amazing transcript helps to showcase my child’s wonderous, educational adventure in a way I couldn’t do myself for her. Every event, program, curriculum has enriched my child’s life all through these years…and Lee has managed to capture it all and give my child the credits deserved as she continues to shine in her passions as she travels through high school. Life is an adventure. Lee is a master at creating just the tools to show off my child and her skills/talents/compassions to anyone viewing her transcript! Felicia is finishing her training to be a therapeutic clown at hospital, interpreting in the community with American Sign Language,on a college campus enriching her education while finishing high school; volunteering at Library, and Humane Society. Lee has been masterful in utilizing the hours and energy into her transcript. Felicia wants to be a nurse, utilizing her clowning and American sign language to benefit those who are ill and/or can’t communicate easily with others because they are deaf. Bless you, Lee!

  17. Lois says:

Creating an amazing transcript will help my daughter achieve her dream of having a mother who sets the pace of preparation for the future. With a transcript, she will know the importance of planning, organizing and formulating. Seeing on paper her accomplishments from her high school years will help her strive to perfect her God-given skills and talents. Only God knows what her future holds right now. It will hopefully involve animals, perhaps a vet assistant or wildlife biologist. It may take her onto the mission field. Whatever the future brings, the amazing transcript will launch her into the world where she will serve Christ and His kingdom.

  18. Ashley LeFiles says:

An amazing transcript would help my daughter achieve her dream of one day owning a horse ranch, because her plan to achieve her dream is to go to college to become a veterinarian. She will need to have proof of her hard work so that she will be accepted into a wonderful program. I am humbled by her ambition and her drive to study. I want to give her all the tools I can to help her get where she wants to be. Providing her with an amazing transcript would go a long way in one day seeing her stand on her own ranch.

  19. Stephanie says:

Imagine you are sitting on your floral couch, sipping tea and enjoying a wonderful novel when in comes the Red Baron soaring high above the clouds shooting his artillery at enemy #1! (With all the wonderful sound effects!) Well this has been my life for the past 10 years. My 15 year old son has wanted to be a pilot since forever and has his sights set upon the Air Force Academy. The acceptance rate is about 1 in 10 and even more difficult for the “Home Schooler”. Being able to present the AFA with a beautiful transcript could only increase his chances of being accepted! (Never mind being Eagle, having to letter in a sport, perfect test scores etc…) Please help!!

  20. Christine Torre says:

It was Christmas 2000 and a four year old boy yearned for a Thunderbird flight suit. Slipping into the homemade uniform, his dream of attending the USAF Academy is born! Six years later he examines the Academy admittance catalog and learns that physical training is necessary. He begins a regular regiment of push-ups, pull-ups and running. At fourteen, he is actively pursing this dream through the USAF Civil Air Patrol, Scouting, and competitive swimming. As his mother I pray, “Lord how can I home school him into the Academy…the requirements and competition seem overwhelming.” My greatest fear is that without a professional transcript the lifelong dream he has worked so hard to attain will be shattered.

  21. Janet Armour says:

My daughter is a junior this year. Her life’s dream is to become an OB nurse. Her plan is to obtain her BS, then MS before launching her career. Her college of choice is the University of Arizona as it has a teaching hospital on campus. It will take an AWESOME transcript to get the financial package that would allow her to attend her college of choice.

  22. Joyce A. Anthony says:

At the age of 4, my son asked if he could go to art school instead of college–at 16, that is still his dream. He wants to eventually go to Japan and work with anime originators there–he says he wants to work with the best. Not only has his dream remained strong all these years, but he has worked hard to improve–and learn Japanese on his own. He has placed in several competitios. A good transcript would give him a better chance of gaining entry into some of the better art schools.

  23. Christy says:

I am quite sure that by the time they graduate, my children will have experienced and studied many things colleges would be interested to know. I am also quite sure that my children and those colleges will very much appreciate me following them to each and every interview or showing up at the dean’s office with a younger sibling on my hip, to proclaim how wonderfully qualified my child is to attend their fine institution, and even though I don’t have a “real” transcript on paper, could they pretty please find it in their heart to offer some very fine–oh, say a full-ride– scholarships while they are at it……because after all, I just told them all about how much my child has done and what a wonderful student he has been. Ooh, and maybe I will add that I have 6 other potential students for their college as well……
That should work to make my kids’ dreams come true…..don’t you think?? ;)
    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  24. Jennifer R. Waddle says:

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” If this is true, why would we need to create a transcript, let alone an AMAZING transcript? We long to communicate what we have been doing the last four years! Though there’s no way to portray every lesson learned, we can and MUST articulate our children’s passions and achievements as clearly as possible. The dreams of our children vary greatly, but our goal remains the same- to help them realize who they were created to be. An AMAZING transcript is an awesome way to let them shine!

  25. Cynthia Powell says:

My eighth grade, and oldest, daughter has a heart for China. At eight years old she was certain of God’s calling for her life: to be a missionary. In the last few years God has revealed her mission field, China. She started a China prayer group that meets weekly and keeps up with Christian activities in this far away land. She studies Manderin Chinese on-line, her favorite subject. She plans to continue studying Mandarin Chinese in college. Having access to the TOTAL TRANSCRIPT SOLUTION would be an answer to prayer as we prepare to begin navigating through the highschool years next fall. Thank you for considering us!

  26. Lara says:

My daughter, Lara, dreams of being a physician – diagonstic to be exact. Sh dreamed of going to a GREAT 4 year university. She dreamed of an education to last a lifetime. So how as a homeschool student and has her mom a home school teacher do we fulfill that dream. Together we created a transcript that shows her dreams, her preperation and her drive. We created a transcript that matched her dreams. It worked!! She is in a great 4 year university, is getting the education of a lifetime and WILL be pursuing her dreams!

    November 24th, 2009 at 4:21 pm

  27. Cecilia Eve Williams says:

My neice was removed from her home numerous times during her highschool years. Finally during her senior year she was placed with other family members but by this time she had lost so much time. We began to play catch up and she did well using a stable home environment and outside tutoring we found we would be able to graduate her with a diploma and transcript so she can join the military and then go on to college. Since her birth mother was a highschool drop-out this is a great boon to her self esteem. She never thought she would be able to finish highschool let alone go on to college. We thank God for this opportunity to help her open new doors and turn around the cycle of substance abuse she has grown up with.

  28. Kerry Skiles says:

My son has a dream. He wants to go to medical school. However I think he may still end up in seminary:). As his Mother I have encouraged him to read, think, study and serve. However I am totally inept in the make the transcript look good department. I know that Adam has diverse gifts and talents. I want him to be able to apply at his mind and his heart to serve wherever God ultimately leads him and a transcript….as Lee has taught us is a huge first step in making that happen. Thanks for the service you are to all of us and for your consideration of this entry.

  29. Kathleen says:

  30. Jody says:

My son Josiah, a junior this year, has the goal of attending Florida State for college. An exceptional transcript would help open doors for him at a school where they typically require much more of homeschoolers during the application process. I believe that with an effective transcript he would receive more favorable treatment. He has worked hard and served many hours in the community to do what he can to get a scholarship and I want to be able to gift him with an additional competitive edge that he cannot give himself. We were tempted to go the school route out of fear, but knew we had to be faithful to what God had called us to do. I am thankful for the way you are serving the homeschool community Lee!

    November 24th, 2009 at 7:16 pm

  31. Jennifer says:

Since his earliest years my son’s dream has been to work at NASA and to explore space. His interest in this area is a passion that consumes him and his gifts both in mathematics and in mechanics are truly astonishing and unique. As the years go on I become more convinced that his goal is attainable. His intense focus has lead him to be ridiculed and even bullied in the past; which is one of the reasons we are now homeschooling. I am dedicated to ensuring that he has tools to make this dream come true, but know that a impeccable transcript will be an important element to this success.

    Hi Lee

my daughter is so dedicated to her education, she is an inspiration to me. she is 12 and already taking college classes at our community college. Her dream is to complete her associates by 17 and pursue a career in the juvenile justice system. we will be trying to “kill two birds with one stone” so to speak doing high school and gen. eds. at the same time. your expert advice would be so valuable to us as we pursue this goal.

  33. Terri Standley says:

    Hi Lee,

Wow, what a great gift! I sure could use some help in this area. My son Sean, is a very busy guy. I can hardly keep track of all the school subjects we cover, the books he reads and all the activities he is involved in. His dream is to be a firefighter. He has always wanted to be a civil servant and found his calling last summer at Highline’s Puget Sound Skills Center program where he spent the summer working with firefighters in Tukwila. He is planning to participate next year full time and volunteer at the fire station. He is also a fire explorer and a volunteer with the Pierce County search and resuce teams that support the sheriff’s department. He loves helping people and is planning to attend the University of Alaska which has an extremely well respected fire services program. He is also involved in drama and martial arts. With all these activites, I could really use your program to help me create an AMAZING transcript with the little time I have left in the day.
Thanks for making this offer available to us.

  34. Laurie says:

An amazing transcript would pull together all my son’s varied experiences including youth group work, piano performances, singing, car mechanics, competitive indoor and outdoor kite flying, his excellent skills in debate and shakespeare, and add it all together with his traditional school subjects to show the universites/colleges of his choice that he is a well rounded student they would like to have in their school. If this resulted in a scholarhip or two it would give him the opportunity to explore and firm up his choices to be involved in youth ministry or change to other areas of study.

  35. Deb Welch says:

I have twin 17 year old girls. Sarah wants to study music in college and Laura’s goal is to play soccer professionally one day. She realizes that she needs a back up plan because a sports career doesn’t last forever. We live in Germany and they are fluent in the language and would like to become translators also. I meet Lee at a homeschool conference and she inspired me to continue homeschooling, in a land where it is illegal, thru high school. With one gifted child and one with learning disablities the right transcript would enable my children to fullfill their dreams and to shine in their respected fields of interest. Thank you for offering this chance through this contest and for all you do.

  36. Kay says:

The vital importance of the transcript becomes obvious when the college application process begins–not class president, not member of various clubs. Our sons have a variety of “out-of-the-box” experiences, so the a power transcript could mean thousands of dollars in scholarships–vitally important for a family with three teenagers!!! Amazing Transcripts could make a huge difference for our family!

  38. Laurie Phelps says:

I can not but into just a few words how much having an awesome transcript would so for my son. Who has worked hard toward his goal of doing something in robotics. Not only getting him into the college of his choice but changing his life and showing him that hard work does pay off.
    Thanks for this chance!

  39. LeAnn Peterman says:

Megan is 14 and has dreams that include engineering, becoming a pilot, cosmotology, culinary arts. Where she ends up only God knows. I believe making her transcripts will be difficult with out your product because she doesn’t fit the traditional child. She loves the unusual and to plug that into your program would be so helpfull to make sure her next phase of life is a success.

  40. Elle says:

Calculating the incalculable is the work of an amazing transcript. Putting onto paper family discussions of Biblical ethics, listing the days of community service, or tallying the hours of family reading–this is the work of an amazing transcript. One son dreams of being a pilot. One son dreams of being an illustrator. And one son has undecided dreams. The work of homeschooling with excellence is ongoing and enduring in the midst of dreams. The work of an amazing transcript will help to quantify the days of submitting my personal dreams so that the lives of my sons may be assets in His Kingdom and not liabilities. The world will require certain credits, but He shall always receive the glory!

  41. Petina says:

A transcript is one factor that may tip the scales as my children pursue their dreams. A transcript is not who my child is, it is only a window (although small) into this unique person. How clear that window is will give them that much more of an advantage when their transcript sits in a pile of hundreds, waiting for some stranger’s judgment, basing his opinion on a test, an essay and a transcript. Is this my child? Boiled down to the bones? No way! They are so much more than these pieces of paper. But yet, I must give this stranger the clearest window possible so he may see my children the way I see them. In this endeavor I need help. I’ve never made a window before.

  42. Denise M says:

I have six children. One is already in college, but she graduated from public high school. My next youngest is now a junior in high school and has been at home for almost a year and a half. I would love to know how to get everything that she does on a transcript. She has big plans for herself, to be a large animal vet. I want to be able to convey what she has been doing, from school, to raising market hogs, to her horseback riding, dance and community service.
How do I get it all on there? Help Lee!

  43. Cheri B says:

The Total Transcript Solution will help my daughter Taylor accomplish her dreams in college and beyond by involving her personally in the process of writing her transcript. My past public school experience taught me that students do not have ownership over their high school careers and consequently start college without the skills they need to decide on a life path as an adult. I enjoy watching my daughter Taylor learn first hand the importance of academic choices and that she is interested and able to help write her high school transcript now! How exciting that in college she will be able to utilize these skills and pursue and achieve ANY goal she has. The Total Transcript Solution will be our main tool in the next three years. Thanks so much for what you have done for both me and my daughter!

  44. Julie Horton says:

My son is planning to attend Annapolis or the Air Force Academy to become a pilot, and possibly, an astronaut. Even though he just turned twelve, he is highly motivated. He’s already on track to make Eagle scout before his 15th birthday so he can then transfer to the Civil Air Patrol to prepare for training. Higher mathematics, computer programming, engineering and physical training are also on his schedule. A REALLY strong transcript would be of immense value to us in helping him achieve his dream. We are working this all out on a shoestring budget, so winning would be an answer to prayer!

  45. Helga Martinez says:

I wish i had been homeschooled. Maybe if I had, I would be able to figure out how to blog.
My son Nicholas, is not yet quite sure where he is headed and his dream goal comes and goes. He is pretty confident that it will involve some kind of a sport/ physically active occupation.
I course of action right now is to cover all the basics and then through in some special interest areas of study. Whatever he mentions as being interesting that is what we look into.
His transcript will hopefully look so different from anybody elses that his unique aptitudes will be clearly visible.
Our main objective with his transcript is for it to open any door that he will decide to walk through and thereby anabling him to follow the path that the Lord has laid out for him.
I am confident that you, Lee & Mr. Lee, have once again put together a product that will enable us homeschool-parents to help our children to achieve their individual goal.
    Thank you!

  46. Connie J. says:

    Lee,

I confess that I’ve created one transcript already for my daughter who’s a college freshman this year. I know after doing it the hard way that there has to be a better and less stressful way. Please show me how with the Total Transcript Solution. I have three more transcripts to create and I think I’ve learned my lesson. I don’t want to go through the stress and craziness again.

An amazing transcript will help my son to play soccer at the college level while studying computer science, my daughter to study piano and my other son to study design. Thanks for the opportunity to win your new book!

  47. Marie says:

Our 17 year old will soon graduate from 12 years of home education. He would like to pursue
a degree in criminal justice, work on the police force and from there join a SWAT team or maybe
the FBI. Yes, I we will be busy praying parents and already are! He is enjoying a rigorous senior year with pre calculus, physics, Japanese, English, archery, physical work-outs, Awana, youth group, and community service filming/editing videos. I’m running to keep up! Meanwhile, I have LOTS and LOTS of documentation to organize into successful transcripts! Help!

  48. Paula Rice says:

‘Connor Rice, 15, has loved every minute he has stood on stage.’ So read the opening words of my son’s current bio. He’s a hard-working boy with big dreams: to appear on Broadway, in an opera, in a BBC TV series and sing at the Last Night of the Proms in London (tissues ready). But big dreams need a lot of help (eek)! And that means starting with a top notch transcript. This is the underpinning of any successful college application – especially in the competitive theatre world. After all, if my son wants to see his name up in lights, he could not do better than start with a little transcript illumination!

  49. Marian Sims says:

TCK a third culture kid one who has spent the majority of their formative years in a country other than their pass port country. That is Nate,a 17 year old senior with a goal of becoming a language translator of unwritten Chinese minority languages. How to explain this to a university? An American, not int’l student, homeschooled, attended Chinese school, not ever lived in America, not military, not a resident of any state…This unique status needs a clear, well thought through, ,specific competitive transcript. This transcript puts the dream of the student into the love language of the school

  50. Phyllis B, says:

After raising two public school kids, with no worries about their transcripts, I find myself raising and homeschooling two grandchildren (ages 10 and 14). Adriana desires to join the military upon graduation from high school. Along with learning independence, she is learning more being homeschooled than she ever could in an 8-3 school. Unless all that learning can be translated into the correct grades and proper wording, some of it could fall short of what she needs to succeed.

  51. Glenn Joslin says:

A long-time dream of my twin daughters has been to go into pediatrics. This is a dream that I can see them fulfilling. With a heart for serving others, especially when young children are involved, I’ve watched them grow from children themselves into young ladies. As they complete their high school years, “an amazing transcript” would be the key to accessing a college that will equip them for their future service in pediatrics. Charles Schulz once said “A good education is the next best thing to a pushy mother.” Their “pushy mother” just needs a transcript tool to document our home school past and open the door for a successful college future.

  52. Carol Hershey says:

My son, 17, has dreams of exploring the “Final Frontier” (our universe & beyond)!
Astronomy, physics, and sci-fi have always been consistent interests of his, and we almost overlooked them as a path to college. A few other interests popped up here & there, but nothing lights his fire like astronomy & physics.
He is the type of kid who after he learns something, he uses that knowledge for his own projects. So it has been hard to look at those personal projects as schoolwork–but they are. I need help pulling together his untraditional, ecletic homeschooling experience and transforming it all into a transcript that will leave colleges wanting to know more about my son.
Your materials will assist the lift-off stage of my son’s dream!

  53. Shelli Christensen says:

Legos! Piles and miles of them we have stepped on, vacuumed (oops!) and of course, created hundreds of unique structures and flying Star Wars ships. Caleb’s dream is to design Legos at their international headquarters in Denmark! What will be on his transcript to show what a wonderful asset he would be? Lots of math, Physics and teach yourself Danish! My need to add several art classes, CAD design…….

  55. Lori says:

I sure hope that achieving their dreams *is* based on MY writing ability!
I’m a much better social writer than a professional one. I would think that if I could provide a comprehensive transcript, then the college that my children plan to go to will know my student’s capabilities.
That’s why your book would be a great asset as I don’t know HOW to write said transcript!

  56. April C says:

  57. Cindy Randolph says:

My youngest son wants to become a farmer. He wants to responsibly raise animals that will produce food for his family, as well as others, that is healthy and makes good use of the land without stripping the environment. He wants it to be a farm that will benefit the earth and those it sustains.

The transcript solution will help him in his dream because it will so those from whom he may need a business loan or investors to understand his level of knowledge in the area, as well as help him as he uses his farm for ministry to rehabilitate and work with those who need help so that other organizations can “trust” his experience and vision.

  58. JoAnn says:

Both of my children want to go in a specific field, my daughter a Liberian and my son a video game designer. All the different, non-traditional, courses and activities they participate in, though it will help in their understanding of their desired field, won’t always be easy to put on a transcript. But it’s the transcript that will help explain all they have done, and I can use help in making it clear, concise and professional looking.

  59. Megan says:

    It’s all about EMPOWERMENT.
When my children introduce themselves to prospective colleges and employers, they will know the breadth and depth of what they have studied. A great transcript demostrates the metrics of that body of work and details a good deal about who my children are as students. My children have the opportunity to distinquish themselves from the masses by calling out their focussed areas of study — beyond the general. A great transcript is ‘the icing on the cake’ after a hearty homeschool endeavor.
My childrens highschool transcripts serve as conduits that demonstrate their ability for:
    1) independent self-improvement with goal setting
    2) an acknowlegded understaning of the big picture
    3) attention to detail
    4) and partnership in the business of education
Is the world interested in driven, capable, competent, and confident citizens? I am. And, I think that great transcripts advertise all of these atributes and empower my children to continue pursuing the liberty of education and to prepare for life.

  60. Pam says:

I would count it a blessing if the Lord allowed us to homeschool our sons through middle school but what if the Lord wants us to go through high school? We want to be ready. God represents excellence and we want our sons to represent God. We want to bring the excellence out in them so they can serve the kingdom of God. Winning this contest would prepare us for excellence.

  61. Maria says:

I’m not sure what my 11 y/o daughter wants to be when she grows up, but this seems like a great tool to make sure her forgetful mother doesn’t leave anything out! If she had a great transcript, it would be a great thing for both of us!

  62. Linda Valentine says:

I am currently a Canadian living in China homeschooling 8 of my 10 kids. I have 3 children in Highschool and 5 in Elementary. Your transcript solution would help my 3 oldest immediately to fulfill their dreams of college by providing a simple transcript solution and my 5 youngest within the next 4 to five years. I have 2 grandchildren also, so that would be 10 children one free program could really benefit. We also have a large Homeschool Group here and I would love to continue to advertise to them your blogs, facebook and websites! I have shared your site already with many moms here that do not have the Resources or advantages of living in their Home Country to encourage them along the way of Homeschooling Highschoolers in a foreign country. Thank you for all the encouragement you have already been to my family way over here in Kunming, Yunnan, China!!! I read all your emails with thankfulness.

  63. Alexander Baxter says:

When my son was 9, he listened in rapt fascination to the Justice Alito confirmation hearings on NPR and a dream was born. Over the last five years Benjamin has put a lot of work into achieving his dream of becoming a Chief Justice. He has independently pursued a classic education. He found an attorney to mentor him in Constitutional Law, joined Verve Homeschool Debate and interviewed a lawyer from his dream school, Stanford. A superior homeschool education will not gain admittance to a top-tier school without an amazing transcript. Winning guidance in building an outstanding transcript will ensure that he can obtain the best education available and help him achieve his Supreme Court dream.

  65. Morgan Joslin says:

    Dear Mr. and Mrs. Binz:

My desire is to have a career that not only meets my needs, but also the needs of others. Because my future success is based on my education, attending college is important to me. I feel that God is calling me to make a difference by pursuing my dream of becoming a pediatrician. A well-written transcript will be a determining factor of whether or not I can achieve my goal. This being the first time that my mom has ever sent a child to college, I am sure this tool would be just what she needs to make what may seem like a daunting task a positive experience. (I would like to give her this for Christmas.)

  66. Diane says:

Over the last 15 years of raising 4 children many questions, struggles, and opportunities have been experienced. Through the bumps, mountains, and blessings of life, God has always been faithful. As my older children have been considering and praying about college and God’s will for their lives the financial question arises. As hardworking and devoted parents we strive to provide the absolute best for our kids. We believe that “Creating an Amazing Transcript” would be a huge answer to our prayers and a springboard to help our children succeed and achieve their dreams. The desire of our oldest daughter is to be an Orthopedic surgeon. We have painstakingly endeavored to instill a spirit of hard work, motivation to excel, and most importantly, a sincere passion to wholeheartedly serve God.

  67. Jeannine says:

    Hi Lee,
For us a transcript would give David (and my other up and comers) the organized summary of all the hard work he has put into his education. He doesn’t know what he wants to be, but a video game tester and game creator have come up as possibles. I think he will lean more towards the sciences and he will need a great transcript to get into a good school. I have your transcript book on my Blackberry so I can read it wherever I am. You have been such a help to me and I know that you will continue to be a huge help as we go down this long tunnel called high school homeschooling.

  68. Erin Wright says:

My son Nigel read through two plays outloud with me last spring while we were holed up inside our home staying warm against the blasts of a mountain winter. No stage lights held him in a bright glow and no vast audience applauded his words as he made “Driving Miss Daisy” and “Our Town” very real. I was stunned at his gift. In the summer my husband and I sent Nigel to a summer drama camp and he won the director’s award for best actor. He is the first homeschooled candidate ever from our county nominated for the Georgia Governor’s Honor’s Program tryouts in January. Pouring over scripts makes me think of how important a good transcript is to Nigel’s future and what a boost your transcript prep material would be to helping my sixteen year old son achieve his dreams in the performing arts.

  69. Kathleen says:

I feel like I failed my oldest two sons, now 21 and 23. I homeschooled them, but did not know how to make a transcript or get them ready for college. They are now working at low-paying jobs and are trying to put themselves through community college. I have three more children and don’t want to make the same mistakes with them. I’m hoping this book will help me.

  70. Vida Saucedo says:

I have 5 children. I am having so much trouble with the middle child, a 16 yr old boy, that I have decided to withdraw him from school and homeschool him. He is going to school and not learning anything due to social issues. We also have serious issues with trust and therefore can’t allow him to use the internet. I am left to my own devices to create a program for him to get him through his remaining 3 yrs of high school successfully. I would appreciate any information that will help me to do that.
